Glance at my eyes in the rear-view mirror,
look killerish but it’s not that, just
back on campus after 3 months away
and can’t believe the faces, even balding
heads, the bikes, books, September turned
into back-again-Spring, the Music Department
back musicing again, another thousand
years of this, whoever wanted retirement
anyhow, at seventy-seven still just getting
(wanting to get)
socially started.
