Editorial career of Etkin Getir consists of two web magazines: Between 2000-2002 he was the editor of Storyteller Web Magazine. After three years of break,he returned to the stage with Istanbul Literature Review.

His writing career is a rather silent one. He writes mostly short stories in Turkish,but time to time he also made some attempts in the poetry scene. He mainly works freelance,and is currently working on his first novel. His influences are as follows: Jerzy Kosinski, Harold Robbins, Charles Bukowski,Giovanni Guareschi and Stefan Zweig.
